As the developer, Anthony Sassano, pointed out, with Tether’s recent increase in the distribution of the USDT and the significant increase in the number of ERC20-USDTs, now exceeds 50% of the Omni-USDT total.
根据Tether官方信息显示，目前流通中的Omni-USDT大概25亿美元，而7月份的增发让ERC20-USDT的数量达到了13亿美元，基于TRC20和EOS协议的USDT数量太小暂时不必考虑。除了常用的USDT外，基于欧元的EURT情形则正好相反，Omni-EURT的流通量只有1600万欧元，ERC20-EURT达到了4000万欧元。很明显未来的USDT和EURT都将基于以太坊而不是Omni。
According to Tether’s official information, the Omni-USDT currently in circulation is estimated at $2.5 billion, while the increase in July brought the number of ERP-20-USDTs to $1.3 billion, and the number of USDTs based on TRC20 and EOS agreements is too small to consider for the time being. In addition to the common USDT, the euro-based EURT scenario is the opposite: Omni-EURT has a circulation of only 16 million euros, and ERC20-EURT has a circulation of 40 million euros. It is clear that the future USDT and EURT will all be based on Ethako instead of Omni.

The exchange announced on July 3 that the OMCI network would switch to the ERC20 network, and while the original OMCI network USDT could continue to be replenished and billed, it would not be possible to present the OMCI network USDT. P网（Poloniex）也在同一天宣布添加对ERC20-USDT的支持，不过Omni-USDT可以继续使用。而火币早在几个月前就宣布同时支持Omni-USDT、ERC20-USDT和TRC20-USDT三种USDT。

昨天波场CEO孙宇晨也宣布了新的基于TRC20的USDT激励计划，通过空投激励用户将手中的USDT转换成基于TRC20的USDT，持币用户将每日获得空投的利息回报。

基于以太坊和波场的USDT比Omni-USDT转账速度更快、手续费更低，但基于Omni-USDT庞大的保有量，大部分交易所在很长的一段时间里仍然会支持Omni协议。

虽然将Omni-USDT转换成ERC20-USDT对于用户来说是件好事，但Tether如此频繁增发仍然引起很多人担忧。OK战略副总裁徐坤表示，稳定币的核心在于信用，尤其对于法币抵押型的稳定币，必须确保每一枚代币，背后要有相应的资产支撑。USDT在资产透明性方面所做的工作与其现有的体量相比是明显不足的，这也是其频频被市场质疑的原因。USDT目前占据了很大的市场份额，有明显的垄断性，从对其每次增发时点进行市场复盘来看，确实与币价波动有很强的关联性。那么USDT是否在利用其影响力操纵市场，确实值得思考。

The USDT’s work on asset transparency was clearly inadequate compared to its current volume, and that was why its frequency was often questioned by the market.
