V publishes a discussion in the community on whether to use the Kate Commitments. It shows that V proposes to use the Kate Commitments program to reduce the number of witnesses when submitting the ETH 1.x contract code. Specifically, in an unstated community, miners need to add proof of all the implemented codes to the witness. And the proven relative size of the contract code is linear and must include the entire code section.
